The evidence governs the conclusion.
Funders, partners, commissioners and access providers may support an enquiry. They may not purchase a preferred finding or suppress a material contradiction.
Nataraja LabsResearch FoundationMandates ↗Research independence & integrity
Independence is not the absence of relationships. It is the institutional capacity to disclose them, govern them and prevent them from silently determining what may be found.

This page states the institutional framework the Foundation intends to formalise. Final policies, legal disclosures and governance procedures should be adopted by the appropriate governing body and reviewed by qualified Indian nonprofit and tax counsel before being represented as operative policy.
INSTITUTIONAL INDEPENDENCE
Funders, partners, commissioners and access providers may support an enquiry. They may not purchase a preferred finding or suppress a material contradiction.
Material support, interests, limitations, authorship, review and correction should be disclosed wherever they affect the interpretation of the work.
Independence is maintained through explicit authority, documented boundaries and meaningful recourse. A relationship becomes institutionally dangerous when its influence cannot be seen, challenged or refused.
INSTITUTIONAL OBLIGATIONS
Funding, partnership or access may support an enquiry. They may not predetermine its findings.
Material financial, professional, political and related-party interests should accompany the work they may affect.
Material programme and project support should be disclosed in a form proportionate to its relevance.
Authorship, evidence, review, limitations and material revisions should remain attributable.
Access to data does not extinguish duties concerning consent, confidentiality, security and lawful use.
Concerns regarding integrity, undisclosed influence or material error should have a defined route for review.

FUNDING & COMMISSIONED WORK
Commissioned research should state who commissioned it, the scope agreed, the degree of publication control, relevant data-access conditions and any material limitations. Where confidentiality is legitimate, its existence and effect should still be governed.
Philanthropic and programme funding should support fields of enquiry rather than guaranteed conclusions. Restricted support should not be presented as unrestricted institutional endorsement.
INTEGRITY & RECOURSE
Until a formal integrity officer or committee is appointed, concerns regarding material error, undisclosed conflicts, inappropriate influence, research ethics or data governance may be submitted directly for institutional review.
